The Foundation
is the only Swiss organization engaged in support of training and
research into liver diseases.
The foundation was chartered in 1985 with the aims to foster research
into novel treatments of liver diseases. It mainly supports young
hepatologists early in their carreer. Furthermore - in these times of
shrinking public resources - it maintains the research infrastructure.
A particular aim is to support projects which are not fundable or
funded by the main supporters of research in Switzerland.
